Lovely pub, friendly staff, COVID SAFE!
''Lovely village pub, great friendly atmosphere. The staff are lovely and very helpful about any concerns regarding the current regulations. Hand sanitiser is available at every door along with various other hand sanitiser stations around the pub. Visitors are promoted to use the hand sanitiser on arrival and fill out a track and trace form. The staff enforce the rules politely regarding having 1 customer at a time at the bar and having 1 person use the toilets at a time. The toilets are also cleaned thoroughly and disinfected every hour which is very reassuring. Tables are set out to adhere to social distancing and there is a lovely big beer garden which guests are urged to use in order to accommodate social distancing rules. Very pleasant landlord and landlady who are very helpful with any questions you may have. Very good prices for drinks and fairly priced, homemade pub food including an amazing Sunday carvery. Would definitely recommend a visit for groups of friends or a family trip out!''
Fantastic Sunday Roast
''Great little village with an excellent local pub. The staff are very friendly and eager to make your visit enjoyable. I pre-booked a Sunday roast for 11 people, 6 adults, 5 children, and 3 with special dietary needs. The chef went out of his way to accommodate the dietary needs, offering the same choice of food as everybody else. We all enjoyed a plentiful meal, cooked to perfection. Thank you. We stayed a while after the meal, watching rugby, playing pool, and having a couple of drinks. A great day was had by all. If you are in the area, please give this pub a try, you will not be disappointed.''
''We stayed here for 1 night and it was very comfortable! The hosts were lovely and made us feel at home. The room decor was lovely and the bed was so comfy! Personally not a fan of a shared bathroom but had no trouble with sharing with other guests! Would maybe suggest having a card/menu listing what a cooked breakfast consists of and what the other options are (eg croissants or cereals) so the guests know what is fully on offer - although the breakfast we had was very good! There was a band on the night we stayed (which we were aware of) and we didn’t have trouble sleeping and even had the window open slightly which was great!''
Lovely Village Pub
''Great food, choice of two bars depending on what you want. Steve and Fiona are always welcoming! They are doing great things for the village, a very inclusive pub.
Give it a try!!!''
Very late Sunday lunch
''We turned up right at the end of service and were welcomed in and treated to a Sunday roast of epic proportions. Beautifully moist and tender pork, homemade Yorkshire pudding and no less than six perfectly cooked veg along with crispy roast spuds and plenty of gravy and apple sauce. The landlord Steve and his team are friendly and inclusive and the pub was cosy, clean and welcoming..!!''
